class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> I paint as a daily practice to center my mind and engage in a dialogue with the world. Like the lay practitioners and painter-monks of the past, the act of painting itself is a quiet prayer and a time of contemplation for me. Commercial success and fame are secondary. This official website serves as a place to document these daily explorations and the entire trajectory of my activities as the artist Yuko Kawada, sharing them directly with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Creation_Journey\"><\/span><strong>Creation &amp; Journey<\/strong> <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since I began exhibiting in 1995, my activities were long centered around solo exhibitions at galleries. As a natural result of this ongoing practice, I was fortunate to have my works acquired by public museums, including The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, and the Yokosuka Museum of Art. After moving my studio to Karuizawa in 2017, the rich natural surroundings allowed me to delve even deeper into my inner self, expanding my artistic world through diverse materials and techniques. From large-scale canvases to small pieces, I am not swayed by fleeting trends. Instead, I continue to engrave my state of mind at each moment onto the surface as a &#8220;singular, once-in-a-lifetime record.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Current_Activities_Purpose\"><\/span><strong>Current Activities &amp; Purpose<\/strong> <span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recent years, alongside solitary creation in my studio, I have been focusing on &#8220;direct dialogue&#8221; utilizing the internet. Initiatives such as my artist-run online gallery, virtual solo exhibitions, newsletters, and YouTube videos are all endeavors to deliver the pure spirituality of my work directly into the daily lives of people around the world, bypassing commercial filters.
