私は自分の心を整え、世界と対話するための「日々の行」として、絵を描いています。かつての在家修行の絵師や画僧のように、描くこと自体が私にとっての静かな祈りであり、観照の時間です。商業的な成功や名声は、二の次です。

軽井沢のアトリエ「長野スタジオカワダ」からお届けするこの『Atelier Gallery』は、生まれたての作品をそのまま皆様の空間へとお届けするため、作家自身が運営する試みの、オンライン・ギャラリーです。

背景と歩み

1995年の発表開始以来、東京国立近代美術館や横須賀美術館をはじめとする公的美術館、そして国内外の多くのコレクターの皆様に作品をご所蔵いただいてまいりました。

長年お世話になった画廊での発表を経て、現在は作家自身がアトリエから直接作品を届けるスタイルを確立しています。流行に合わせた量産や安易な複製を行うことなく、大作から小さな版画まで、すべての作品を「一度きりの境地の記録」として一つひとつ大切に制作・手配しております。

コンセプト

作家とコレクターがオンラインを通じて直接つながるこの取り組みは、商業的なフィルターを通さず、作品の純粋な精神性をそのままお届けするための表現活動でもあります。

インターネットや動画配信を通じ、日本国内のみならず海外のご自宅へも直接作品が渡る時代となりました。一時のトレンドに流されることなく、自分自身に正直に、魂の深層に残る美をひとつずつ形にしながら、皆様の空間に静かな調和をもたらす作品をお届けしてまいります。

Greeting

I paint as a daily practice to center my mind and engage in a dialogue with the world. Like the lay practitioners and painter-monks of the past, the act of painting itself is a quiet prayer and a time of contemplation for me. Commercial success and fame are secondary.

Presented from my Karuizawa studio, “Nagano Studio Kawada,” this Atelier Gallery is an online initiative managed directly by myself, designed to bring newly created artworks straight into your living space.

Background & Journey

Since I began exhibiting in 1995, my work has been acquired by public museums—including The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, and the Yokosuka Museum of Art—as well as numerous collectors both in Japan and abroad.

After years of exhibiting through traditional galleries, I have established my current approach: delivering artwork directly from the studio. Rather than chasing fleeting trends or mass-producing, I carefully create and handle each piece—from large canvas works to small prints—as a unique record of a singular state of mind.

Concept

Connecting directly with collectors online is in itself an extension of my artistic expression, allowing me to share the pure spirituality of my work without commercial filters.

Through the internet and video content, we now live in an era where artwork can travel directly from my studio to homes across the globe. Remaining true to myself, I will continue to shape the beauty that resonates in the depths of the soul, bringing quiet harmony to your space.
