花紗子 (kasane)

最新シリーズ「波」の様式の源泉となっている、貴重なソース・ドローイング作品です。
私の作品タイトルは、なるべく独自用語を創出するようにしています。これは制作が終わる頃に私の頭に降りてくる音から、漢字を当てはめることで生まれます。

この場合、はじめに「かさね」という音が降りてきて、「花」「沙」と来て、「ね」は「子年（ねどし）」の「子（ね）」に辿り着きました。私は結局子供を産むことはありませんでしたが、これまでに1000点以上の作品を生み出して来ました。作品は私の分身でもあります。

This is a precious source drawing that serves as the origin for my latest series, “Waves.”

My titles are unique terms born from the sounds that resonate in my mind as a piece nears completion. For this work, the sound “Kasane” (meaning ‘to layer’) came to me first. To capture this phonetically, I selected three kanji characters: “Hana” (Flower), “Sa” (Gauze/Fine Silk), and “Ne” (the Zodiac sign of the Rat, written as ‘Child’).

Though I have never given birth to a child, I have brought over 1,000 artworks into this world. Each piece is a part of me, a creative offspring. “Kasane” is my child born of flower and silk, and the very starting point of the waves I draw today.
